About Patrick Johnson

 

Patrick has been hosting the “Triangle’s Morning News” on News Radio 680 WPTF since late 2015.

 

Prior to taking over morning hosting duties, Patrick provided news updates during morning drive and hosted the mid-morning slot on WPTF. He also anchored morning drive sports for over 80 stations on the NC News Network for two years.

 

PJ has worked with Sirius/XM, ABC Radio News, WDBO in Orlando, William Peace University sports network, ECU’s Pirates Sports Radio Network and IBX Media-owned stations 103.7 WTIB and 94.3 The Game in Greenville, N.C.

 

The Kinston native has an extensive background in TV sports play-by-play work, including assignments for the American Digital Network, Time Warner Cable Sports Channel, the ACC Network and MASN calling football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis and softball.

 

He also worked on WPTF from 2008-2010, as a show host, news anchor and reporter.

 

The “P-Man” is engaged to Jill Hodges of Belhaven, NC. They live in Raleigh with their dog, Dash.
