THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WHICH BROUGHT THE WINTER WEATHER ON FRIDAY HAS MOVED AWAY FROM CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA...TAKING THE WINTRY PRECIPITATION WITH IT. IN THE AFTERMATH OF THIS STORM SYSTEM...ROADS ACROSS THE REGION REMAIN ICE COVERED AND VERY SLIPPERY.

 

* LOCATIONS...ALL OF CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA

 

* HAZARD TYPES...ICE COVERED ROADWAYS WILL REMAIN SLICK AND HAZARDOUS THROUGH THIS MORNING...WITH GRADUAL IMPROVEMENT AFTER TEMPERATURES RISE ABOVE FREEZING LATER THIS MORNING.

 

* IMPACTS...ROADWAYS...ESPECIALLY BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES...WILL REMAIN ICE COVERED...SLICK AND HAZARDOUS THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS. MAIN ROADS THAT WERE SLUSHY LAST EVENING MAY HAVE BECOME SLICK AND HAZARDOUS AGAIN AS A RESULT OF THE SLUSH RE-FREEZING OVERNIGHT.
